Jim Turner is a managing partner of Furia and Turner LLC. His practice areas include personal injury, workers' compensation, and products liability. He has a double major in both economics and business management. He received his undergraduate degrees from Widener University in 1979, where he was the recipient of the Widener University College Prize-1979. The prize is awarded to the senior who provided the greatest service to the university academically, athletically, and socially.

As an undergraduate, Jim was elected President of the Inter-Fraternal Council, Vice President of the Student Government Association, and Chief Justice of the Student Judiciary Body. At the same time, he was selected to sit on the University's Board of Trustee and Board of Directors of the Alumni Associations. He was also an All-Conference Indoor track runner at Widener. Two indoor track relay teams that Jim was a part of at Widener still hold the indoor records at the university.

As an alumnus of Widener University, Jim authored the first-ever Widener University Alumni By-Laws governing the entire Alumni Association and has chaired many Alumni Association committees.

Jim attended New England School of Law in Boston, MA, and received his J.D. in 1983. After attending law school, he was immediately admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.

Jim has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 1994 and is listed with Furia and Turner LLC as a "Preeminent Lawyer."

Jim is also a member of the "Million Dollar Advocates Forum". The forum comprises less than one percent of U.S. attorneys. It is recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million dollar and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards, and settlements.

He also served as the lead cite copy editor for Wigmore on Evidence - considered in the legal community as the book on evidence - Tillers revision vol.1A 1981-1983.

Jim resides in Chester County, PA, with his family and is actively involved with civic associations and youth baseball leagues.
